Open XFDL File
A file with the XFDL extension is an Extensible Forms Description Language file as indicated by its acronym.
It is a type of secure XML file developed by PureEdge Solutions, which is part of IBM, as a way to create secure and legal electronic forms.
XFDL files are most commonly used in a business or government context when transferring data or buying and selling things over the Internet.
The data contained in XFDL files usually contains information about transactions, digital signatures, and other legal elements.
Files with the XFD extension are exactly the same as XFDL.
However, be sure not to confuse your XFDL file with an Acrobat Forms Document file that uses the XFDF file extension.
Since XFDL files contain only text, you can use a text editor to open and display them correctly if you only need to edit the file or view it in text form.
