Open VTT File
VTT files have several possible applications:
Web Video Text Tracks
The VTT extension is used as a text data file saved in the Web Video Text Tracks format or WebVTT for short.
This VTT file contains information about a web video, that is, subtitles, descriptions, cuts, chapters, and metadata.
The VTT file does not contain video data, therefore it is not considered a video file, thus, the video file does not depend on the VTT file to be played.
The WebVTT format is designed, in principle, to provide subtitles for video content, also chapters for navigating such content, text video descriptions, and any other metadata aligned with audio or video content.
WebVTT or VTT is the substitute for Web Subtitle Resource Tracks or WebSRT.
VisionTools Pro-e Project
The VTT extension, in this section, is used by VisionTools Pro-e Project.
The VisionTools Pro-e Project format, and consequently the VTT extension, were developed by Crestron Electronics, Inc.
These are controls for web page design that are related or optimized for touch screens and control a specific hardware, remotely.
In this case, the VTT file saves a touch screen web design project.
It should be noted that the VTT file was replaced by the VTP format.
