Open TMF File

TMF is a file extension commonly associated with Corel WordPerfect Tagged Font Metric files. The Corel WordPerfect Tagged Font Metric specification was created by Corel Corporation. TMF files are source type files.

On the other hand, TMF files are also used as Trace Message Format File which is a text file containing instructions for parsing and formatting the binary trace messages that a trace provider generates, especially in Microsoft Visual Studio. The trace provider, through its source code, formats the instructions and adds them to the PDB file by the Windows Trace Preprocessor Software.

This functionality is also leveraged by the Windows hardware driver set and includes a set of driver tracking tools. These tools are used to support ETW (Event Tracing for Windows) events.
