Open PTF File
PTF files have three different uses, described below:
Scrapbook Flair
For Scrapbook Flair, the PTF file is a template used to create new pages in Scrapbook Flair.
Scrapbook Flair is a digital scrapbooking program, which includes information about page layout, as well as background themes, images, and embellishments.
PlayStation Portable
For PSP, the PTF file is a theme preferences file which stores the settings for the wallpaper, icons and sounds used for the PSP interface.
The PTF file can be modified using the "Theme Settings" option on the PSP.
Create a PTF file
Custom themes can be created with PSP system software version 3.70 and later.
Pro Tools 7 Session File
In this case, the PTF file is a session file format used by Pro Tools 7-9.
The PTF file includes audio, MIDI, and software instrument tracks, it also includes audio effects, automations, and project settings.
Furthermore, the PTF file contains references to audio recordings, but it does not store the actual audio data within the file, therefore it is not considered an audio file as such.
PTF files are universal, which means that they can be opened on Windows and Macintosh computers.
Software to open a PTF file
Due to the diversity of formats that a PTF file can have, you should make sure of the type, and then have one of the following software packages:
- Scrapbook Flair
- PSP Theme Toolbox (Available for third party download)
- Avid Pro Tools
