Open PPTX File

File extension PPTX is the file format used by Microsoft PowerPoint 2007 or later to store PowerPoint presentation information. PPTX file format is based on Open XML standard introduced by Microsoft in 2007. PPTX is a default file format for all versions of Microsoft PowerPoint starting from 2007. PPTX file format is based on ECMA-376 and ISO/IEC 29500 standards.

You can open PPTX file in Microsoft PowerPoint 2007 or later. If you need to open it in a version of Microsoft PowerPoint prior to 2007 you can choose "File->Save As" from PowerPoint menu and choose "PowerPoint 97-2004 Presentation (.ppt)" format.

If you'd like to transfer PPTX file to a computer which doesn't have Microsoft PowerPoint installed to it you can use Microsoft Office 365 online editing functionality.

1) From your Microsoft PowerPoint application save your document to OneDrive disk.

2) On your other device go to https://office.com and login with your Microsoft account.

3) Choose PowerPoint online app and select "Open from OneDrive" option.

4) Choose the file you saved on OneDrive

If you need to open your PPTX file on iOS device you can use following steps.

1) From your Microsoft PowerPoint application save your document to OneDrive disk.

2) On your iOS device install Microsoft PowerPoint app from the app store.

3) Open Microsoft PowerPoint app.

4) Choose the file you saved on OneDrive.
