Open PIV File
Files with the PIV extension are a native animation format used by Pivot Stickfigure Animator, a program for creating stick figure animations.
Pivot Stickfigure Animator, often abbreviated to Pivot, and now known as Pivot Animator, is a free application that allows users to create stick figure animations and sprites, and save them in animated GIF format for use on web pages.
Pivot also saves its animations as AVI format, however Pivot Animator's native format is PIV.
Pivot provides a highly intuitive and easy-to-use interface with a few features.
It basically consists of using 'sticks' of fixed length to ensure size consistency during animation.
Thus, the PIV file contains stick figures that have movable parts, or joints, that can be moved and saved as individual animation frames.
PIV files store animations in an efficient format that typically requires much less space than an animated GIF file.
