Open OBJ File
The OBJ files have, up to now, two different applications, namely:
Wavefront 3D Object File
In this first case, the OBJ extension is a standard 3D image format that can be exported and opened by various 3D image editing programs.
As such, the OBJ contains a three-dimensional object that includes 3D coordinates, texture maps, polygon faces, and other information about the object.
The OBJ format is widely regarded as a universal format for 3D image editing applications. The OBJ file usually contains references to files that contain surface hatch material, usually in MTL format.
Relocatable Object Code
In the second use case, the OBJ extension files are object data files that are referenced by many types of programs, without a set definition
