About Outlook
Outlook has two important aspects over time, initially it was born as a desktop software (Later for mobile) for Microsoft personal information management that consists of email, calendar, contacts and tasks services.
And on the other hand, and more recently, it migrated to web and cloud services, where all management is done online and connected, and is known as Oulook.com.
It was created, initially by Sabeer Bhatia and Jack Smith under the Hotmail name, which was later acquired by Microsoft and renamed MSN Hotmail for its launch.
Then later renamed as Windows Live Hotmail as part of the Windows Live suite of products.
Microsoft phased out Hotmail in October 2011 and relaunched the service as Outlook.com in 2012.
The NK2 file allows a user to create a nickname and assign the name to an email address.
