Open ND File

The ND file extension is considered a configuration file, as it is used by QuickBooks financial accounting software for this purpose.

As such, the ND file allows network access to a QuickBooks company file.

In other words, the ND file is created when the company file is opened.

QuickBooks

QuickBooks is an accounting software package developed and marketed by Intuit.

Mainly geared towards small and medium-sized businesses with on-premises accounting applications, however, it also has cloud-based versions that accept business payments, manage and pay invoices, and payroll functions.

One of the most notable functions, for the ND file is for information recovery in case of loss, that is, if the network data file gets corrupted, it is possible to rename the extension to NDOLD, and then open the file associated company.

In this case, QuickBooks will then create a new ND file.
