Open JPF File

JPF files are files in JPEG 2000 format. JPF is a synonym to JPX file extension. Files in JPEG 2000 format use more advanced compression method in comparison with JPEG and also introduce more scalable and editable code streams.

JPF files could be opened by many graphics packages including:

• Adobe Photoshop
• Adobe Photoshop Illustrator
• GIMP
• XnView MP

Some applications support JPEG 2000 file format but do not support a JPF file extension. In order to still open JPF file with these packages it is recommended to try renaming JPF file to either JP2 or JPX and check if the software you use can open it.

JPF files use image/jpx mime type.
