FXO File Extensions - Usage Guide

FXO files are associated with two basic types of applications the 3D Model File created by O&O Softwares Filerobot, and the Fax Image Document files that are output by certain fax software. Each of these file types comes with its distinct usage and methods to access and operate on them.

Filerobot FXO Files

Filerobot is a cloud-based information management platform that allows users to store and process large quantities of data. One of the less commonly encountered extensions it uses is the .FXO format for its 3D model files. They are binary files which tend to carry a wide array of information about 3D models.

To access and use the FXO files, you will need to download and install the Filerobot software. It is available from the official O&O software website, https://www.oosoftware.com/. After you have downloaded and installed the software, you can simply open the FXO files by double-clicking them if youre on the Windows platform, or opting for a right-click and selecting 'Open with Filerobot' from the contextual menu if youre on macOS.

Fax Image Document FXO Files

FXO files that are Fax Image Document files are usually found in office environments which still utilize faxing as a form of communication. Certain specialized software like Microsoft Fax or Microsoft Windows Fax and Scan can generate these file types.

Opening a Fax Image Document FXO file is straightforward with the right software. The files are automatically viewable with Windows Fax and Scan service, bundled within the Windows operating system. In case you are using a different OS, then acquiring a fax viewing software would be necessary. One of the widely-used options that support viewing FXO Fax Image files is eFax.

FXO File Important Information

FXO files are not intended to be directly modified or viewed by the user. Instead, these are dynamically managed by the software applications that create them. Its important to keep in mind that manual alteration of these FXO files can lead to data corruption or, in the worst case, failure of the software to run as intended.

In the case of the Filerobot image files, these are exclusive to the proprietary O&O software; hence, no other software currently can manipulate or operate on them. Similarly, for fax image documents, they are designed to be read and processed by faxing software only.
