Open DXR File
DXR format and extension files are videos, movies, or animations created with Macromedia Director. DXR is similar to a DIR file, but saved in a locked, non-editable format.
You can view a DXR file from a web browser, even if you computer is not connected to the Internet as long as you have the file stored somewhere on your computer.
DXR files are protected files, and they are mainly used in web browsers or for streaming from the internet.
The interesting thing about this DXR format is that it can be used to distribute Macromedia Director files to users who do not need to edit the content of the Director movie, and therefore do not have this software installed.
DXR files do not use any type of compression.
To open or work with a DXR file, you must have one of the following programs:
- Adobe director
- dirOpener (Unavailable)
- iSwiff
