Open BIG File
The BIG file extension is a game data format used by Electronic Arts (EA) video games.
Electronic Arts Inc. (EA) is an American video game company based in Redwood City, California, currently developing Battlefield, Need for Speed, The Sims, Medal of Honor, Command & Conquer, Dead Space, Mass Effect, as well as well as sports titles such as FIFA, Madden NFL, NBA Live, NHL and EA Sports UFC.
BIG extension files are global and compatible with all games developed by EA, containing individual assets used by the game and compressed to save space.
Said BIG file is similar to an ELF file, but modified and saved in an EA proprietary format, however it can be imported as a MOD file into certain games to alter gameplay.
