Open 2XLS File
2XLS files are nothing more than a spreadsheet file, with the 2XLS extension, however, no specific program is known to date that creates this type of file natively.
Generally speaking, the file has the same structure and header as a common XLS spreadsheet, and that extension is most likely not associated with any program.
If you need to open these types of files, you should try these two methods:
Open via LibreOffice Calc's 'Open File' menu.
- Open LibreOffice Calc software
- Go to the 'File' menu
- Then go to 'Open', or press Ctrl+O.
- Find the file and wait for it to open.
Change the extension to the file
If what we want is to change the name and extension of an isolated file, the simplest thing is:
- Right click on it and choose "Change name" or "Rename".
- In many operating systems, the option to rename is F2.
- If we change the extension, some operating systems will ask us if we want to change/add a different extension, to which we must say yes or accept.
- Change to XLS.
With this, it will be enough to be able to open it by double clicking on the file, and having, of course, the appropriate software.
